Welcome to the National Fire Research Community

Aims and objectives:

  • set up a hub to collect information on fire research
  • provide information about the NFRC and serve as a platform for group forums and discussions
  • establish a practical and accessable information on research (principally UK) in fire issues
  • perform a gap analysis on the UK fire research and publish the results
  • provide information to asist in establishing where fire research is needed
Scope:
  • information on fire research already conducted - leading to a UK database
  • establishing a research contact list
  • networking with those involved in research (commissioning, conducting, using)
  • providing a discussion forum and setting up events as required
  • communications with the fire industry
  • investigate and establish long term support needs for the fire research community(including databases)
  • investigate potential funding streams to support the development of the NFRC
